Each practitioner at Better Space is independent and set their own fees. Fees are displayed on the booking site as well as on each practitioner’s profile.
Our services are fee for service and not covered by OHIP. Many extended health coverage plans do cover psychotherapy services provided by a Masters-level Registered Social Worker.
But to make sure that this is the case, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider before your appointment and ask the following questions:
- Do I have coverage for counselling or psychotherapy provided by a Registered Social Worker?
- Do I need a referral from a physician to qualify for coverage?
- Does my plan cover the full fee per session, or a percentage?
- Is there a maximum per year? When does the plan renew?
Payment can be made by credit card, VISA debit cards or e-transfer at the end of the appointment.
Yes, we offer a 20-minute consultation at no charge.
We do not offer direct billing to insurance providers. Once payment is made, a receipt will be provided to you which can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 48-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Clients who provide less than 48-hour notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. Extenuating circumstances may be taken into consideration.
A missed appointment without notice or with less than 24-hour notice will be subject to the full fee. A late cancellation will be subject to half the fee.
